The broadcast for this weekend of September 6th will be Paul's annual All Quartets Edition, celebrating the start of Southern Gospel music's biggest annual event, the National Quartet Convention ... running from Septenber 8th through the 13th in Louisville, Kentucky. All of the songs on this program will be sung by quartets. As a special bonus, Paul's Yesterday's Voices feature will be with one of the best-known of all legendary quartet singers, the late James Blackwood. And the still-active pianist for the Blackwood Brothers, Tommy Fairchild, will have some sage advice for today's Southern Gospel artists.
And his Featured Artists on this broadcast will be the Dove Brothers, a quartet with firm roots in classic Southern Gospel, but whose sound is very "today," especially on their new Life CD. You'll hear their recent hit, You Don't Know God's Love, their current hit, You Would Think He Would Learn,
and two other songs from that CD. McCray will share some well-informed opinions about quartet music, both past and present. And you'll find out which quartet member recently lost a lot of weight (and feels much better for it).
You'll also hear from Ernie Haase (Signature Sound) and Jeff Stice (Triumphant Quartet).
